The best moment in olympic history was when Kerri Strug helped the American Womens Artistic Gymnastics team win gold at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. I chose Kerri Strug because the only way that the USA team was going to win the Artistic Gymnastics Team event was if Kerri got a score of at least 9.493 on vault. After Kerri completed her first vault she fell and hurt her ankle badly, she still completed her 2nd vault but instead of landing on two feet she landed on one and got a score of, 9.712.

That is pretty damn gutsy.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how different the vault is at this Olympics compared to '96 - and that a standard score now at the Olmpics is 13 - 14 points.
